"Love After Love" contains eight long-poems that focus on a passionate amorous obsession and a tragedy that lasted five years in the life of the author, when she fell in love with a jeweler. This book is about love after its innocence has been lost. Ilma Rakusa's poetry leaps from fondness to bitterness, from lust to disgust, from anger to sorrow in heartbeat. Originally published in German, this book by one of the leading Swiss poets has been translated into English by Paul-Henri Campbell.
