Jodie Sinclair has a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University and has more than two decades of experience in public affairs and broadcast news with professional media, non-profits, and city and state agencies. A web writer for a San Antonio law firm, she is the co-author of A Life in The Balance, The Billy Wayne Sinclair Story, and Capital Punishment: An Indictment by a Death Row Survivor. She lives in the Texas Hill Country. Sister Helen Prejean, CSJ, a member of the Congregation of St. Joseph, is known worldwide for starting a dialogue on the death penalty. After witnessing the electrocution of a condemned man in a Louisiana prison in 1984, Prejean wrote the bestselling Dead Man Walking and set out to bring citizens close to the hard realities of government killings. Her mission has taken her to every U.S. state and to the Vatican, where her personal entreaties to two popes helped to shape Catholic opposition to the death penalty. She lives in Louisiana.
