Webster's defines the term 'love' as "a strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties or from sexual desire and attraction". As well, throughout history, love has come to mean many different things to many different people, but in the end, this strongest of emotions seems to find a way to win out over all adversity. What follows within is a series of short stories concerning love between two men set in different locales, times and situations in which love blossoms and grows in unexpected and surprising ways. That being said, the fourteen stories contained in this anthology all show that, regardless of the time or the place, it is love that is the ultimate victory that can overcome any obstacle, no matter how hopeless the situation seems. These stories move between different time frames and eras from the present day to the Old South to gladiatorial times to the future, but all of them have the ultimate theme of love winning out in the end.As you read these stories of love and hope between men, it is my hope you'll come away with a better understanding of how love truly can conquer any problem, big or small.
Autorenporträt
Dan lives in the beautiful surroundings of the mountains of western North Carolina with his family of three men and three cats in their three-story log home, nicknamed "The Treehouse", where he spends a good deal of his time pursuing his writing as well as reading any and everything he can get his hands on. Dan counts the collected works of Agatha Christie as well as those of Greg Herren, Daniel Erickson, Matt Bernstein Sycamore, Patricia Nell Warren, John Grisham, Stephen King and the late Madeleine L'Engle among his favorite authors. His other passions are, besides writing, classic movies and television, graphic design and computers. With his fourth book completed and being the true glutton for punishment that he is, Dan is already outlining and working on a fifth book which will be a full-scale science-fictional novel based on "A Meeting Of Minds" and "The Escape". Dan is also the author of the BLACKNBLUE Tavern trilogy.
