The public expects its schools to meet high academic standards. This is a practical leadership book written specifically for key educational leaders, especially principals, superintendents, or other members of the school's leadership team. The challenge of standards-based schools (SBS) is described, and an emerging theory of leadership describes how to set up the eight basic structures of an SBS. This book will help the educational professional to understand the elements of a standards-based school and to know how to rise to the challenge of leading one.
