Patricia Morgan is a California native, born in Hollywood on Avocado Street. Her early years were split between the beaches of Long Beachand the then-rural acres of Orange County. At the University of California, Berkeley, she studied speech communications, then taught English and dramatics in Southern California high schools, touching generations of students. With her husband Tom Morgan, she traveled throughout the state and lived 20 years of summers in the High Sierra. After retirement, she continued her travels beyond the US, including then-Yugoslavia, China, Thailand, Russia, and the United Kingdom. A great lover of words and drama, she has written several novels. Shenow lives in Sonoma, California.
