A DYING LOVE. Most of us have a secret place deep within our hearts and souls. It's a place where we go to sort things out when feelings of love become overwhelmed with pain. This place is filled with thoughts of imagination, memories, and reflections of moments spent together. It's a place of isolation and loneliness where we bury our feelings or try to erase the thoughts of those we truly love. This hidden place is the secret darkness of the heart and soul, where no one knows the struggles we face, except for ourselves. I've been dragged to this hidden place by a love that I thought was true. Now, I lay wounded in the heart of this woman, helplessly separated from her as she watched my love slowly die.

Mark McCauley was born in West Africa and migrated to the United States at the age of nine. He grew up in the streets of Brooklyn, NY. He has a Masters in Cyber Security and currently works as a Cyber Security Analyst. He loves to read and write. His favorite book to read is the Bible, and writing has become a habit as he was inspired by God and life experiences through his relationships. The lessons he learned by internalizing his journey through life and experiences, along with his habit of writing, gave birth to "Love Is a Double-Edged Sword" and other inspirational books such as "His Name Is Not God" and "Democracy in Heaven, The Cause of Satan Exile," along with others soon to come.
