Autorenporträt
In Nicholas's world there is no box. He is an artist as well as an inventor. He lives in Maple Ridge, BC. He's been designing and building projects all his life. He grew up in a family where his Dad was an entrepreneur/inventor and his parents were self-employed up until their retirement. He learned to weld and fabricate at age 15 enabling him to build his 1927 roadster pick up Hot Rod affectionately named Good Vibrations. He creates unique Halloween costumes, one being an old school Wise Guy named "Shifty", complete with concrete shoes, another being an Army Ant, an amalgamation of a soldier and the insect. His current costume is an Interstellar Bounty Hunter. He's been in a variety of different work environments since the age of 14. His first job was busing tables in a restaurant then to working in a shop that hand manufactured oars and paddles. In the early 1990's he worked as a Make-up Artist in the Vancouver film industry wanting to do Special Effects make up. In the early 2000's he was an Assistant manager for an industrial supply company. Since 2004 he have been a certified welder. Creative problem solving, designing and building projects is what he enjoys. He take pride in seeing a project through to the end. He uses all of his past experiences to ensure a functional and aesthetically pleasing final product. He has the ability to design a project keeping in mind how to make it manufacturable if need be, functional, more efficient and aesthetically pleasing. He's in the process of finding a house with a shop that suits his needs to enable him to open his own creative design studio Blueflame Creative so he can work from home.
