Autorenporträt

Maura is a dancer, musician, yoga therapist, storyteller and ceremonialist. One of the ways she connects with the world is through the art of storytelling. Her stories have many layers embedded in simple language that feeds the mind, heart and body of children and adults alike. The vision of her writing path was first seen by her mother before she graduated life in 2007. This vision portrayed Maura writing books that spoke to children in a language that was never forgotten, a language which inspires adults to see the children's brilliance and remember that we are given the great honor of being their guardians. This dream took its first deep breath when Maura and illustrator Burgandy Viscosi aligned to create this first book, Love Your Trace.
