Clinical and laboratory research investigating optimal wavelengths, power densities, treatment duration and treatment intervals being published at a rate of about 25 papers a month. The treatment is not yet accepted as routine medical therapy despite a significant body of published evidence (over 200 RCT's) that is at least equal to pharmaceutical, surgical and manual therapies for a range of pathologies including neck pain , tendinopathies and osteoarthritis.
