Autorenporträt
Renaissance history came to life for C.L.R. Peterson during a semester of study in Italy. Then Martin Luther's bold stand against the Roman Church and its pleasure-loving Pope Leo, a classic David-versus-Goliath battle, hooked her on the Reformation. She has pursued her passion for the Renaissance/Reformation era ever since, earning a PhD in Early Modern European History at Stanford University. Research for her debut novel, Lucia's Renaissance, included reading heresy trial transcripts in Venice's State Archives. She belongs to the Historical Novel Society Northern California chapter and the ACFW Golden Gate chapter. She loves to shine a spotlight on little-known heroes from the past. When she's not reading or writing, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and sharing ethnic cuisine with her husband and adult daughters.
