Jill Nickerson is a retired kindergarten teacher, substitute teacher, and businesswoman. She is an active grandmother with no plans to retire from that position. Her other loves are her daughter, son-in-law, gardening, and any kind of art project. She has said, "Writing and publishing a children's book has long been a dream of mine. To have this come true and to have my granddaughter be the illustrator of my story is beyond anything I could have dreamt."
