It runs eastward along the north side of Vineyard Lake as Wamplers Lake Road. After passing by Vineyard Lake, the route curves towards the southwest as it heads towards Wamplers Lake. The route passes between Wamplers Lake and Mud Lake and curves around the east side of Wamplers Lake as it enters Walter J. Hayes State Park from the north.
