This is a book about Christian stewardship. It focuses on how we should be using the material resources we hold in trust in way that glorify God, and truly blesses His people and kingdom. Have you ever wondered why the subjects of giving and material stewardship cause so much controversy in the Church? Do you ever struggle with questions like: To whom should I give? How much should I give? How should I give? and For what reasons should I give? If so, this book is for you. It explores what the Bible, particularly the New Testament, teaches about Christian giving from a stewardship perspective. It examines in some detail, how the Apostle Paul, used the example of the loving and sacrificial giving of Jesus and that of the Macedonian church, to encourage the Corinthian church in their stewardship challenge. Paul's encouraging appeal forms the basis from which ten principles of stewardship are derived and discussed. Understanding and living by these principles are as relevant and as helpful to us today as they were to the first Church community. Committing to them should hopefully help you rise up to greater faithfulness and more fruitful stewardship.
