The surface roughness is considered to be one of the major factors in the analysis of machining capabilities of any machine. Thus the focus in this research has been primarily on the effect of machining parameters on a machined surface quality. The selected process is end milling of a semi-circular trajectory and 5-block on Al2024 T351 and Al 6061T3 with carbide tool on 5-axis hybrid parallel kinematic machine. Three different segmented surfaces are selected on semi-circular and V block, on which the effect of control parameters were investigated. Spindle speed, feed rate and depth of cut are the selected machining parameters. The investigations of this present study yield the best set of parameters with a surface finish. The experimental design is an L9 orthogonal array. Taguchi's signal to noise ratio and ANOVA general linear model form the crux of the analysis carried out at 95% significance level to understand the effect of input parameters on the output response. The resultsascertained greatest influence on the surface roughness of feed rate among the selected parameters. Also, the obtained results were compared to that HPKM of CNC machining.
