Autorenporträt
José De la Puente is a historian and professor of Latin American history at Texas State University. His interest in the " many things that happened in Peru," as 16th-century chroniclers would say, dates back to his early childhood trips to the Pachacamac sanctuary, the Cuzco region, and the Mantaro Valley, located in Peru. He lives in Austin, Texas. Sergio Vilela is Rights Management and Innovation Director for Latin America at Grupo Planeta, where he was also editorial director for more than a decade, first in Peru and then regional director for Latin America from Colombia. He has published the books " El cadete Vargas Llosa: la historia oculta tras La ciudad y los perros", and in co-authorship with José Carlos de la Puente he has written " El ú ltimo secreto de Machu Picchu" and " Machu Picchu: A Mystery in the clouds".
