Autorenporträt
MAMADIBA LYDIA PHALOANE As a highly spiritual and traditional African woman who is a social worker, I was granted the opportunity to apply my creative talent to write poems, inspirational messages and songs every time I interacted with clients. Interaction was in the form of training workshops, counseling sessions and religious prayer groups for the past 23years as a practicing social worker. The name MAMADIBA is my spiritual name that refers to the one who owns rivers, the ocean, springs and fountains. It also refers to the female Madiba like Our former president Madiba Mandela both Xhosa by origin. It was given to me during my training as a spiritual healer. Both authors have a very strong background of standing the test of time of single motherhood. Mamadiba. They are living testimonies of the African proverb that says "MOSADI O TSHWARA THIPA KA BOHALENG". The literal meaning is that African women have the capacity and bravery to hold the knife on its sharp side. The ability to withstand all trials and tribulations. Kwena Granny Mphela A highly religious African woman with strong willpower as a single mother of two and highly dedicated arts and culture teacher.
