Author Richard P. Sevier spent his entire early life in Tallulah, the parish seat of Madison Parish. Currently a semi-retired geological and financial consultant in Jackson, Mississippi, Sevier is the coordinator of two Madison Parish genealogical-historical websites, as well as the state coordinator for digital historical maps for Louisiana and Mississippi.
