When she was a little girl, Rachel Terlop wanted to grow up to be a manatee. Instead, she grew up to be an award winning elementary school teacher. Rachel has taught 4K through third grade in Wisconsin, Maryland, Kenya, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. She is the 2019 Henry Ford Innovation Nation Innovator of the Year, and has spoken at multiple conferences across the U.S. on Early Childhood Education. Her love for manatees continues to this day after swimming with them on her honeymoon. Rachel lives in Virginia with her husband Chris and husky Bane.
