Laura Jean Cake lives in Bar Harbor, Maine. She graduated from the University of Maine, receiving a bachelor's degree in art education and a master's degree in education. Laura likes to write and illustrate her own writing. Her career involved working with developmentally disabled children and adults. She taught and designed curriculum for working with the disabled, using art, music, and water activities to enhance learning.
