The last towering buildings stand like jagged puzzle pieces in a shattered and desolate city, destroyed by a meteorite that collided two time zones. The world has changed forever. Survivors fleeing from the city came upon an ancient forest. Discovering its deadly occupants, the dinosaurs, they have nowhere to go. What could they do? With nowhere left to run, they construct treetop villages from salvaged city materials, finding precarious safety in the heights. Neil, Sam, Bill, and Rose were born into this world, they know of nothing else except for the stories passed down through the generations. But now they dream of adventure, and they want to find answers to their questions. When fate comes knocking, they find themselves hiding in the back of a truck that's heading on a supply trip into the city. Their journey leads to a sequence of events that will change their lives forever. From harrowing raptor run-ins to close calls with Ceratosaurus, the friends band together through building dangers. In the process, they discover courage and resilience that surprise even themselves.

Autorenporträt
Licette resides on six acres outside a small Australian country town, sharing the land with her partner, two dogs, two cats, and fourteen goats. Working from home as a bookkeeper allows her to travel in their caravan and explore Australia. Licette raised three children on a sprawling 100-acre Australian bush property that stoked their vibrant imaginations. Her oldest son Oscar's childhood dinosaur obsession inspired her first book, written for all her children. Among varied careers, Licette found her most rewarding role as a teacher's aide at the local primary school. There, the delight and creativity of the students deeply impacted her while bringing tremendous fun. With a lifelong passion for reading and a spirit forged in the Australian outback, Licette hopes to similarly transport readers, immersing them in journeys filled with magic, adventure, and wonder. Just as beloved books have carried her to faraway lands, she aspires to craft spellbinding stories that spark inspiration.
