One of the common features of salt diapirs is the presence of igneous masses with them. The various models proposed for this companion can be divided into two general categories. In most of these models, the introduction of igneous substances into the sedimentary basin is considered as the factor of water saturation and, consequently, the rapid settling of salts. In this research, igneous bodies associated with salt diapirs in the Shurab and Garmsar area of the Central Basin are studied. Considering that there is a great controversy about the tectonic setting of Central Basin, Iran, so a petrological study on the volcanic rocks of the Shurab and Garmsar area can be important in order to tectonic and petrology understand of Central Basin.
