This book deals with the transport property of a particular transition metal oxide glass doped with LaMnO3. It is well known that rare earth manganites (REM) material LaMnO3 shows giant magnetoresistive property. Soma Mukherjee, atualmente Professora Associada, entrou para o Departamento de Física do GNIT, Calcutá, Índia, em 2005, depois de concluir o doutoramento no IACS, Jadavpur, com uma bolsa do CSIR. Completou com sucesso um projeto UGC como PI em vidro bioativo. Tem mais de 50 artigos em diferentes revistas internacionais e nacionais. Está a trabalhar com diferentes vidros, tanto a granel como finos.
