Updated from the 1997 original, with new autobiographical information and a new introduction and conclusion.A history and analysis of Asian theologies, both past and present, with a critical eye toward those expressions which are too foreign to the Asian experience and context. An essential book for any student of World Christianity, "Mangoes or Bananas?" takes a forthright look at the various strands of Asian Christian theology, evaluating both their histories and the degree to which they remain pertinent to Asian experiences of God and culture.
