György G. Ráth è uno dei pochi direttori d'orchestra che conosce il mondo delle opere, degli oratori e della musica sinfonica. Ex direttore dell'Opera di Stato Ungherese, e dell'Opera di Nizza, presidente-direttore dell'Orchestra della Società Filarmonica di Budapest. È stato vincitore del Concorso Toscanini. Dirige opere e concerti in tutto il mondo.
