Ellen Jane Hollingsworth is a Senior Scientist Emeritus in the Department of Sociology of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is the author or editor of six books and ­author of many scholarly papers. Her more recent research includes a book on the history of the basic biomedical sciences at the University of Cambridge.
