As teens, we don't always fully understand our emotions. Expressing them correctly is an entirely different subject. However, occasionally we manage to formulate them pretty well using different forms of art. This is a collection of poems that fall along the lines of love and hate, this line often blurs. Most of the time we only hate people because we loved them once. I am a teenage girl, and when you tell people this, they will automatically assume that you are a mess and not in control of your emotions. Typically, it is the opposite. However, with a mood disorder and anxiety, this is painstakingly true I believe that love and hate exist on opposite sides of the same coin with most emotions existing on the thin line in the middle. Never will I claim to know it all, despite having a functioning set of morals, I still am 17. Here I explore the boundaries of said moral within the confines of the pages of this book. Just as it was I safe space for me, I hope you view this as one for yourself as well. I hold this piece very close to my heart. The title, "Malapropisms for love and hate.", means the misuse of words for love and hate when looking at it from a literal perspective. Is it possible to describe emotions like love and hatred? Feelings that our ancestors lived, died, and strived to full comprehend. Looking at the magnitude of emotion packed into 4 simple letters, no word is the correct word to describe love. But, I present my misuse of quite a few.
