Luis Miguel Sánchez Tostado es criminólogo por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Escritor y guionista, su prolífica obra abarca 60 obras entre novelas, ensayos, cuentos y guiones cinematográficos. Ha sido galardonado en 24 certámenes literarios. En el género ensayístico destacan: La guerra no acabó en el 39, La guerra civil en Jaén, Cencerro, un guerrillero legendario, Cronovisor, La Transición oculta (Almuzara) y La historia desconocida de Jesús de Nazaret (Almuzara). En narrativa de ficción cabe señalar diferentes relatos galardonados y sus novelas: Mi señorito el maqui y San Cucufato, Más allá de la mirada, Juvencia, La cuarta bestia (Almuzara) o El insólito viaje de Brenda Lauper (Almuzara). Varias de sus obras han sido adaptadas al cine como los cortometrajes El Desenlace y Pestiños y la serie televisiva La cuarta bestia, dirigidas por el cineasta Luisje Moyano.
