Giuseppe Grassonelli was arrested in 1992, tried for several murders and ultimately sentenced to life imprisonment. He spent twenty years in maximum security, but his conditions have improved due to good behavior. He has received a degree in literature during his detention. Carmelo Sardo is the Assistant News Director of channel TG5 of Italian television. He became interested in the Sicilian Mafia in the early eighties when collaborating with the newspapers Il Giornale di Sicilia and L Ora. He is also the author of Vento di tramontana."
