Elaine Ann Allen grew up on Maryland's Eastern Shore. This is her third book; she is also the author of Olly the Oyster Cleans the Bay and Olly's Treasure. Illustrator Kelli Nash was raised on the banks of Rock Creek, Maryland, where she grew to love nature and creatures of the wild. She also illustrated Elaine Allen's Olly the Oyster books.
