About Book...In this book, we discussed about the Malnutrition is a silent catastrophe and the prevalence of Protein Energy Malnutrition is high in developing countries in spite of various strategies and ongoing National Nutrition Health programmes for under five children. Interventions including Structured Teaching Programme to mothers on Prevention of Protein Energy Malnutrition to improve the level of knowledge of mothers which in turn promote to initiate and continue appropriate and adequate complementary child feeding, child caring practices, regular growth monitoring of children in the anganwadi centers may effectively contribute to combat underweight, stunting and wasting. This helps to attain the goal 'End all forms of malnutrition by 2030' (WHO) as well as to achieve one of the target of MCH goal, 'to reduce under five mortality rate to 23 by 2025.The present study proved that educating the mothers on prevention of Protein Energy Malnutrition was effective to improve thelevel of knowledge of mothers of under five children and able to reduce the percentage of children with underweight, stunting and wasting.
