Rob Lukens had such a passion for life that transpired through the incredible love for his family, history, work, and ultimate will to survive. He had a PhD in History from Temple University and held various museum jobs over the years, including the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center in Washington, D.C. But there was no job he was more passionate about than his position at the Chester County Historical Society, in his hometown of West Chester, Pennsylvania. Rob was a member of the Rotary Club of West Chester, helped with projects with the West Chester Chamber of Commerce, and sat on the Historic Arts and Review Board. He also started a program called "History on Tap," where people would come and sit in a local bar and restaurant while listening to a presentation about local history. The Daily Local News ran a history column where Rob would contribute a weekly story on local history.
