This book presents a case study involving the implementation of a method to control and manage the connection of users to access the computer network structure of the Palmeira das Missões City Hall - RS. A means of control and management by authentication was developed to control access to the computer network structure, using specific methods to collect data from the network, with the aim of observing the amount of network traffic used in the town hall and thus restricting and registering access in accordance with the Security Policy and context of network security, defining criteria for each user profile, according to their sector, creating administrative rules for each user, in relation to the content they will have access to.
