The book is the result of a master's thesis that researches the management by competencies in a public sector company, in the city of São Paulo. The author demonstrates the perception of the employees, in a comparison of before and after the model implemented more than 5 years ago in a large company. The model presented is complete, that is, it contemplates the selection, training, remuneration, performance evaluation and career subsystems. The importance of the research is due to the growing adoption of the model of people management by competences by Brazilian companies and the absence of researches that investigate the gains of the employees with the Management by Competences.
