Dr.K. Balaji received his doctorate degree in Agricultural Entomology during 2007. He served as Senior Research Fellow at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University for three years. He has got research fellowship for MSc and Ph.d programme. He has awarded Vallalar Endowment merit award for best performance in doctorate research during 2004 from Tamil Nadu
