This paper deals with the organization of medical service management of the Russian Navy in the XIX century. Presented archival materials containing these documents, which reflect the creation of an independent body of management medical service fleet, as well as brief biographies of the heads of medical service fleet of the first half of XIX century. Management issues of marine hospitals are described in detail. Characteristics of the Statutes of maritime hospitals is given. Their structure is set out in the Appendix. Biographies of the heads of medical service of the fleet of the second half of XIX century are presented in detail: K.I. Mende, K.O. Rosenberger, I.S. Gaurovitz, B.I. Bush, V.S. Kudrin, V.I. Isayev. Their role in the development of its medical support is shown. The characteristics of naval hospitals are given. The book is intended for all those who want to expand their understanding of the history of Russian naval medicine, as well as for cadets and students of the Military Medical Academy.

Bumai Oleg nació el 1 de enero de 1954. Después de graduarse en la Academia Médica Militar (VMA), sirvió en la Flota del Norte como Jefe del Servicio Médico de la flota de submarinos nucleares. Desde 1994, ha enseñado en la Marina, incluyendo un curso sobre la historia de la medicina de la flota. Cand. de Ciencias Médicas, Profesor Asociado. Autor de más de 120 trabajos científicos.
