Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC was found most effective in reducing larval population of pod borers of pigeon pea after first and second spraying and recorded significantly lower number of larvae. It was followed by flubendiamide 39.35% SC, spinosad 45% SC, indoxacarb 14.5% SC, emamectin benzoate 5% SG, lambda cyhalothrin 4.9% CS and spinetoram 11.7% SC. The maximum grain yield was recorded in the plot treated with the chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC (8.79 q/ha) followed by flubendiamide 39.37% SC (7.83 q/ha).
