This study was conducted to examine the way records were managed in Librarians' Registration Council of Nigeria,(LRCN) Abuja. The study particularly considered records creation, records distribution, records used, records maintaining, and records retention/disposal schedules.Librarians' Registration Council of Nigeria, Abuja appreciates the importance of records and its management. Records are generated from the activities of individuals and organizations, these records grow and expand within time and are used for purpose of decision making, planning, and implementation of plan, review, and updating day to day activities of the management. There are two ways of generating records these are manual and electronics. The current advances in information technology have impacted positively on the application of electronic media in carrying out operational services such as the generation of records in most organizations. This system is seriously challenging the manual methods of generating records which has been in use over the years.
