In modern Russian practices of trading companies, the management of returnable commodity flows is increasingly problematic. The elements of returnable commodity flows are goods returned from consumers due to damage, illiquid seasonal inventories, surplus goods, secondary raw materials, mislabeled goods, as well as containers, packaging and carriers. At present, the efficiency of return flow management in trading companies operating in the Russian market is not at a high enough level. Logistic principles of return flow management are poorly applied. This book describes foreign and author's methods of strategic and operational management of illiquid and substandard commodity flows in trading companies and retail chains with examples of their application.
