Attention is paid to the didactic problem of students' independent activity organisation at chemistry lessons through development of cognitive interest through various methods and forms, stimulating an interest to learning. The multilevel independent works serve as the base for creating the model of the complex of independent works. The article deals with the organization of individual learning in higher education institution, analyzes theoretical approaches to the comprehension of the question. The organization of individual learning always involves direct or indirect pedagogical guidance and is the result of two interconnected processes of teaching and learning.
