Not only this, buffalo is also considered more useful for account of higher fat content in its milk, apart from its ability of utilize agricultural by-products more efficiently. Basically, milk production and productivity depends on four dimensions of animal husbandry practices i.e. breeding, feeding, health-care and management practices. However, health-care, particularly the productive and reproductive efficiency of dairy animals is the backbone of dairy farming.Although, the state of MP is the leader in the milk production in the country, the milk yield per animal is very low.
