The program intended in this book, Machinery Management Computer Program (MMCP), is a user-friendly interactive program which allows the user to interact with it by entering the required inputs data and it will carry out the interactive calculations. MMCP enables the user to print-out the output which is displayed on the screen as soon as he enters his inputs and press the calculations button. MMCP estimates machinery performance and costs of owning and operating various farm machines, it contains four modules all lead to aiding the manager of the farm or scheme to take the correct optimum decision in managing his agricultural machinery. MMCP was successfully validated statistically in comparison to both MachCosts model created by Ohio State University and the published data from the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE). MMCP was applied to real case conditions in Gezira and Rahad irrigated schemes in Sudan. The book should help shed some light on the role of computer in developing agriculture by aiding in adopting optimal decisions, and should be especially useful for agricultural institutions managers and decision makers, modern farmers and postgraduate students.
