He is a "Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors". In addition to this membership which is held in high esteem globally, he is also the recipient of several prestigious national and international awards. Dr. Mundhra is also the President of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir, an organization established in 1948 to help displaced individuals with education in the post-partition era in India. It is through Bharatiya Vidya Mandir, supported by Simplex Infrastructures Ltd., that he has created a framework for skill development programmes for skilled and unskilled workers, engineers and students in the civil engineering and construction sector in India.
