The objective of this research is to highlight new approaches to "crisis management". It mobilizes theories, concepts and managerial implications to understand crisis management in professional sports clubs in Lebanon. Our study is structured around three main components: the structure of sports in Lebanon, the difficulties faced by Lebanese professional sports clubs, and the inefficiency of crisis management by these clubs. Although they are an essential actor of the sport, the professional sports clubs in Lebanon do not seem to be able to properly assume their responsibilities in a Lebanese context parasitized on all levels. They are weakened by the crises that hit the country, but also by an impotent internal organization. This research mobilizes the example of three Lebanese professional sports clubs to identify the factors negatively influencing their performance, and to highlight the need for an adequate operational strategy. The study concludes with a synthesis of the mainweaknesses of sports in Lebanon and proposes ways to improve them.
