Autorenporträt
Dr. Francisco Javier Navarro-Meneses obtained his Doctorate in Economics and Business Management from the University of Alcala (2016). Previously, he obtained an Executive MBA at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, specializing in operations and production. His doctoral work focused on the application of the bases of the complexity paradigm to the theory of the firm in order to formulate new theoretical bases and methodologies that explain the behavior of the firm. He is currently a professor in the Department of Tourism at Nebrija University, where he is the Director of the MBA in Tourism Management. Dr. Navarro-Meneses is also a research member of Nebrija University research group in Smart Tourism and Innovation, and of University of Alcala research group in Complex Systems in Social Science. Prior to joining academia, he developed his professional career as a business consultant, a sector in which he has twenty years of experience in various positions of responsibility at big-four international consulting firms and as an entrepreneur. His areas of expertise include tourism IT transformation, innovation management, and corporate strategic change. He has also been a founder and CEO of start-up companies in the technology, e-commerce, engineering, transportation and professional services sector.
