Stop Bullying, Be a Friend, Stand Up and Speak Out is Mrs. Bright 's first book in a collection of books she plans to write and publish. Mrs. Bright, a retired Information Technology Specialist, worked for the federal government for 38 years. She enjoys her retirement, spending her time with her husband Stevie; son Kerry; daughter Cheryl; three wonderful grandchildren, Michael, Kailah, and Manami; great-granddaughter Sun'Raye; and other family members and friends. Mrs. Bright spends a lot of time with her granddaughter Manami, who is the youngest of her grandchildren. In the past, Mrs. Bright has encouraged her creative children and grandchildren to write books, but no one took her up on it when she asked them. So, Mrs. Bright thought, "Why don't you write your own books yourself?" Her next thought was, "What will I write about, and can I write a book?" She quickly decided she would write a book-not only one book, but a collection of books, and that the first few books would be centered around events and experiences of Manami. Manami is a loving, caring, kind, gentle, and inspirational spirit who inspired Mrs. Bright to create a collection of books called "Manami Symone: Inspirational Books from the Heart Collection."
