The poet, Satish Anand, is a very simple person like a mango man. His poem Mango Man peeps inside the heart and brain of a common man. Poet is the youngest child of Ramdeo Prasad Gupta and Ramawati Gupta. The poet got upset to see the hellish life in the poor localities of Delhi. He finds education as the only weapon to uplift society and opts teaching as a career. After getting ETE diploma, he got appointment as Asst. Teacher in MCD and later appointed as Lecturer of English in the Directorate of Education, Delhi. As a mentor teacher in DOE, he visited many educational institutions, interacted with thousands of teachers and students which opened his vision. He gives full credit of his achievements to his family, especially to his mother for instilling in him values that are helping him to sail the life boat peacefully and successfully.
