To examine mango value chain and explore the better way through which linkage among different mango value chain actors is ensured in Assosa zone. The results from multiple linear regression models indicate, the volume of mango produced, distance to the market, average price of mango 2017/2018, beekeeping experience, market information, and off-farm activities were found to be the most important significant variables influencing mango marketing of the district. Therefore, improving access to improved beehives through provision of beehives on credit basis and improving access to credit services, arranging training on improved mango production, improving extension services to improve mango production, appropriate pest and predators control strategies and strengthening the vertical and horizontal linkages among the value chain actors are recommended to develop mango value chain in the study areas.
