"A thoughtful book, rather than an academic book, with lots of insights for men who are about manly action in life challenges!" Anthony McGavin has a doctorate in Social Science from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Theology of Catholic Theological College, Melbourne, Australia. Of his impetus in writing he says: When I was quite young my father fell ill and died when I was 8. I think I was 30 when I first cried about not having a father. I've now had a half-lifetime of involvement with young men, being mentor and companion to them, and I've learned a lot from them. But the final prompt to write this book came when I realised just how lop-sided is the maturity of many older men. The maturation process is one to be engaged in each life era if one is to live in a rounded and zestful way. And so I write this book for young men and older men who want some pointers about living lives of manly maturity.
