Bradley is a necromancer who is terrified of death. He's working as a short-order cook at his uncle Bernie's burger joint when a chance meeting with a celebrity chef leads to an accidental zombie outbreak. Certain that he caused it, Bradley is forced to confront his capricious powers and leave the small town he's lived in all his life. With his mother and grandfather in tow, Bradley is in a cross-country race to track down Mannie Fuego and stop the zombie apocalypse. Witty, acerbic, and sarcastic as hell, this novella is packed to the gills with observations on modern life, the nature of celebrity, and intergenerational family dynamics. A modern twist on the classic coming of age tale, Mannie Fuego's Guide to Good Eats combines horror comedy with unflinching observations on modern life, social media, and how we grow up and out of dysfunctional family patterns.

Diana Gray, known as Ember in online spaces, is a Northern California native with a passion for writing everything from blogs to epic fantasy novels. Really, the only thing she doesn't like to write is biographies about herself. To date, her published works include this novella, a whole mess of blog posts for clients and past employers, and her award-winning short story: The White Sweater. Her hobbies include traveling, playing video games and table-top RPGs, yoga, gardening, watching YouTube deep-dives into niche video game lore and pop culture drama, drawing, and making lists. She also owns and operates a small graphic design and media consulting business. Diana still lives in the picturesque Northern California mountains with her husband, their son, and their three very strange cats.
