Ling Wang, is currently a professor at Chengdu University of Technology, a doctoral supervisor, member of the editorial boards of Mineralogical Journal, Bulletin of Mineralogical Geochemistry, Mineralogical Rocks. He is also Vice President of the Process Petrology Branch of the Chinese Silicate Society, Chairman of the Mineral Physics Mineral Structure Committee of the Chinese Society of Mineralogical and Petrographic Geochemistry, and a member of the Professional Committee of Process Mineralogy, etc. Mainly engaged in mineralogy and mineral materials research, he has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China 4 projects, "Tenth Five-Year" National Science and Technology Tackling Plan key projects and Hunan Provincial Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Experts Fund and a number of scientific research projects. He has published 77 academic papers, authorized 12 national invention patents and won 4 ministerial and provincial scientific and technological achievement awards, such as the President's Scholarship Special Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Hunan Science and Technology Progress Award.
